Clothes and Bags

Now that we are getting busier everyone will need to take home their coats and bags with them and not leave them at nursery overnight.  Any unclaimed items will be left in the porch for you to collect next time.

Please make sure that all clothes and bags are clearly labelled.

Childcare Vouchers

Are you missing out on saving £s towards the cost of childcare?  There are some leaflets about Childcare Vouchers in the hall.  We recommend the “Money Saving Expert” web page on Childcare Vouchers (http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/family/childcare-vouchers) – there is some important information here regarding changes to the scheme announced in the June 2010 emergency budget that will take effect in April 2011.

Starting School in September 2011

North Somerset have asked us to remind all parents who’s children start school next year that the deadline for applications is midnight on 15^th January 2011.  Parents can apply online at www.n-somerset.gov.uk/admissions.  Alternatively an application form and guide can be obtained by contacting the School Admissions and Transport Team on 01275 884078.

As mentioned last month, if your child is starting school in September 2011 you are invited you to one of the following sessions.

Thursday 30^th September             2:00 – 3:00

Thursday 30^th September             6:30 – 7:30

If you have not done so already please let us know which of these sessions you will attend.

Christmas Closure

We will close at 1:30pm on Christmas Eve and will re-open on Monday 3^th January 2011.

Children’s folders

Please take home your child’s folder whenever you wish. It is really helpful if you can add anything significant that your child has done to their learning diary. If you are not sure where you can write in the diary just ask your child’s keyworker and they will be happy to explain.
