Newsletter September 2009

Babe Appeal

For the fancy dress we raised £53.19.  For the obstacle course the certificates are currently being handed out and we have raised £161.50 so far – please bring in any remaining sponsorship money a.s.a.p.  Thank you.

Labeling Clothes and Bags

Please make sure that all your child’s clothes and bags are clearly labelled. We have a fabric pen that you can use, just ask a member of staff.

Lost Property

We have lost a dark blue raincoat belonging to Jack Harper that is clearly labelled – please check to see if you have taken this home by mistake.

Children’s Folders (Learning Diaries)

In order for us to maintain a complete record of your child’s progress during their time at nursery it is very important that you contribute to their Learning Diary.

Please take the time to read through what the staff have written about your child’s progress - and add anything significant, for example landmarks of toilet training or speech, holidays, family visits, favourite things, etc.  You can find slips in the hall for writing about these exciting events.  You are encouraged to take home your child’s folder as often as you like and at least once a month.  Please also remember that you can arrange a chat with your child’s key worker at any time.

Junk Modeling

Please bring in any empty yoghurt pots, boxes, etc for the children to use when junk modelling.

Goodbye

Carole will be laving us in early September to pursue other projects.  Carole has been at the nursery for nearly 11 years as a valued member of the team.  We wish her well and thank her for her contribution.
