What Is A Typical Day At Golden Valley House Day Nursery? 

8.00 - 9.00 Most children arrive. Free play in the playroom.

 

9.00 -9.20 Circle time in three groups using Quiet room, Conservatory & Play room.

 

9.20  Bathroom to wash hands before going into their groups for milk and fruit followed by singing.What Is A Typical Day At Golden Valley House Day Nursery?

 

9.50  Children choose where they want to play. Pre-school children will spend 40 minutes twice a week in the quiet room for pre-school sessions.

 

11.05  If it is dry all the children can play in the garden, if it is wet they have music and movement, or the slide, trampoline and the tunnel in the playroom.

 

11.25 Bathroom before lunch. Lunch is served by their Key Worker in their own small groups. (The week’s menu is to be found on the notice board)

 

After lunch a story before the morning children go home.

 

12.45 - 1.45  Quiet time, those who need a sleep or rest do so in the quiet room. The others play quietly while the staff take it in turns to have a break.                                                                        

 

1.15 – 1.45   Play in the garden followed by a drink before they go into groups to play. The afternoon is similar to the morning, session with a change in activities.

 

4.00   Tea followed by a story - singing before the majority of the children go home at 5.00 pm.

 

5.00  -  6.00  The children can choose what they would like to do, most of them have had an early start and choose to spend the time quietly
